Parito Coastal Yoga Retreat

Jenny Horn, Jonny Horn and Katie O' Connell

We are a family group originally from Ireland with a lifelong interest in holistic health and wellbeing. We believe in the restorative and healing properties of spending time with nature and intend to continue to use the space at Parito for this purpose.

Jenny has a background in healthcare and is a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist and Dialectical Behaviour Therapist who has worked in the field of mental health and addictions for the last seven years. Jenny has kept a personal practice of yoga since her late teens Her love of yoga and appreciation for its therapeutic potential deepened following a period of travel in India in 2010 where she spent time in ashrams. Her desire to become a student of yoga strengthened further following a concussion and spinal injury in 2016 during which time yoga and meditation became an integral part of her recovery. Jenny took a sabbatical from healthcare work in 2017 which facilitated a period of overseas travel during which time she completed a Registered Yoga Alliance accredited hatha yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh. She intends to build further on this training in time while learning from others who are on a similar pathway.

Jonny and Katie are currently based in Ireland where they are reconnecting with family following a period of overseas work and travel. They spent most of 2017 in Raglan where they felt deeply connected to the land and community there. They have worked in various permaculture centres whilst also studying plant based nutrition and intend to continue to grow their knowledge in this field before returning to Parito in due course.

We are currently looking at different options for use of the space at Parito for therapeutic purposes and welcome your enquiries.
